How does an organisation sustain impact when faced with an uncertain funding environment?
For Hen Mpoano, 2025 was a challenging year. Funding disruptions tested the organisation’s resilience and threatened the continuity of planned activities. Yet, through institutional adaptability and the timely support of partners, Hen Mpoano sustained its programmes and continued delivering results across Ghana’s coastal communities.
This resilience is one of the success stories captured in our 2025 Annual Report. The report highlights progress towards Ghana’s first Marine Protected Area, support for 18+ fisheries co-management groups, the planting of over 300,000 mangrove seedlings, and expanded livelihood opportunities for women and young people.
