In his remarks, Mr. Kofi Agbogah, Director of Hen Mpoano, acknowledged the resilience and dedication of the staff over the years. He emphasized the critical role the board will play in guiding the organization, particularly in light of the recent funding gap following the termination two major projects Hen Mpoano was implementing from the U.S Forest Service and the USAID Ghana Fisheries Recovery Activity (GFRA) due to a stop-work order from the U.S. government. He highlighted how governance within CSOs differs from corporate boards, ensuring that members understood their unique mandate in supporting Hen Mpoano’s strategic growth.
