Local communities depend on the exploitation of natural resources for their livelihood activities. This has resulted in the over-exploitation of these resources. To mitigate this threat, Hen Mpoano designs and implements sustainable livelihood interventions in the communities in which it works.
Some of these interventions include the promotion of green enterprises, establishment of Village Savings and Loans and vocational skills training as a support for natural resource management. These will contribute to reduction in food insecurity, poverty and hunger in our beneficiary communities.
