Emmanuel Sandy Ofosu

Emmanuel Sandy Ofosu is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, with an undergraduate degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences and a master’s degree in Oceanography and Limnology. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous research projects focusing on fish stock assessment, environmental toxicology, and water quality analysis. Currently, he serves as a Site Level Fisheries Co-Management Officer at Hen Mpoano, where he facilitates stakeholder engagements on sustainable fishing practices.

Emmanuel’s extensive experience aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water), emphasizing the importance of conserving and sustainably using inland waters, oceans, seas, and marine resources. His work underscores the critical need to protect aquatic environments, ensuring better health and resilience of aquatic ecosystems. Through effective communication of scientific concepts, Emmanuel has successfully fostered unity among local communities, promoting collective efforts toward sustainable marine resource management.
